Jacob's Ladder is the new piece from the HIAC/H9 group. It is about the possibility of spiritual transcendence through technology. In a quest for connecting to a hidden truth outside traditional religious narratives, a man wanders through multiple dimensions, facing several obstacles in his search. Gathering ancient myths, tarot and cutting edge technology, Jacob's Ladder is a ancient punk mix between interactive installation/performance that question the boundaries between truth/rational thinking, intuition/fringe science. Performers: Katie Sundsted (vocals), Frances Wang (interactive fabric instrument), Malik Crumpler (poetry), Matt Fidler (bass), Nate Goossen (drum programming), Kevin Ramsay (guitar), Daniel Belquer (melodica).
