The EYEmusic series is an ongoing investigation into the nature and properties of a musical score. The works exist simultaneously in the disciplines of visual art and music.

EYEmusic is more than a graphic score open to any interpretation. It is a mechanism. It re-purposes elements of 19th-century program music. Each graphic score has a story. However, EYEmusic stories are personal, and they are given to the musicians only. The stories act as a lens, focusing the performers' interpretations of the score. The audience is free to make connections based on their experience of the music and art.

New EYEmusic commissions involve stories from those that commission the work. The story of EYEmusic VII relates the experiences of an individual who has been stereotyped The story of EYEmusic VIII focuses on recent events at the southern border of the United States.

The EYEmusic mechanism creates a unique event in time, linking story with art and musical performance.
