"Nature and Numbers in New Music" is a behind the scenes look at how Tom Hamilton and Liz Phillips, contemporary sound art and experimental music composers, use algorithmic systems and data inspire and shape the works they create. Liz Phillips is joined by Butoh dancer Mariko Endo Reynolds for live excerpts and a video of their collaborative work "Biyuu". Tom Hamilton offers "London Fix (music changing with the price of gold)", an 8 channel composition created specificallly for loudspeakers and presented in a darkened room to facilitate a superior listening experience. A panel discussion follows the presentations.
