Acting/Scene Study
Focuses on text analysis, sensory work, actions and truthful behavior in the scene. Text or scenes are taken from classical and contemporary plays by the finest playwrights.

Musical Scene Study
Utilizes text from The Golden Age through present day to teach the student the basics of acting technique within a musical scene. Rehearsal techniques are highly emphasized to insure that script analysis integrates truthful acting objectives.

Music Theory
This course builds on the actors' skills in reading music, and includes sight singing, ear raining and written theory.

Vocal Performance
Music and lyrics are approached from the actor's point of view; lyrics are explored as monologues and music is considered an enhancement for dramatic intention. Basic acting elements of time, place and character are applied to the vocal performance.

Vocal Technique
Focuses on the physical production of the most commonly heard musical theater sounds: legit, belt and mix. Technical skills addressed include alignment, tension release, and tone quality for musical theatre.

Dance Program
One and a half to three hours of training every day concentrating on ballet, jazz/theatre dance and tap.

Audition Technique
Actors identify appropriate material and roles for their type. The class focuses on selecting and polishing material, entrance/exit, dress, and overall presentation for an audition.

Business of Theatre
Demystify "the business". Working with agents, managers and casting directors; union/non-union employment; headshots & resumes; and learning "who does what" are just some of the topics to be covered in this course.

Private Voice (Optional)
Develop the skills needed for singing all musical theatre genres.  Sign up before or during the first week of the program.  Tuition: $500 for five, one hour sessions.
