CAP21's Summer Professional Musical Theatre Training Program is a six week program for college age students and older who wish to continue their training in musical theatre technique. This program provides an intense, diverse curriculum to develop the skills needed to become a well-balanced performer in all disciplines of musical theatre.

Orientation & Placement for 2016
MANDATORY
June 13: 9:30am to 5:00pm
Throughout the day, students will have a Music Theory Placement Test, Dance Placement, and Acting/Vocal Placement.

Full Time Program
Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm
Part Time Program (excludes the dance program in the mornings; students still attend Monday through Friday)
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2pm to 6pm
Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00am to 6pm

The CAP21 Summer Professional Musical Theatre Training Program is designed to address the needs of current students of theatre as well as adults who have already been working in the theatrical community and are seeking a professional, intense environment in which to hone their skills. This program trains students in courses such as Acting/Scene Study, Musical Scene Study, Vocal Performance, Vocal Technique, a full Dance Program (jazz/theatre dance, tap, and ballet), Music Theory, Audition Technique, and Business of Theatre. Our faculty is a mixture of professionals from the theatrical world who are skilled teachers in their discipline, i.e. acting, voice, or dance. They have high expectations and provide an intense, but nurturing environment in which to train. Upon completion of the program each student will receive a written evaluation including ongoing goals, from each teacher in each class- an invaluable tool for future development.
