Tina Bush

Tina Bush has performed with the Jubilation! Dance Company, the Joyce Trisler Danscompany, Forces of Nature Dance Theater Company, The Jamison Project, Jean Erdman Dance Theater Company, and several other New York based dance companies. Tina has performed in numerous productions for television, stage, and film. Such as: "The People Could Fly...And Still Do"; "A Nativity Story"; "Christmas Comes to Harlem"; "Porgy & Bess" at the Metropolitan Opera, the Bregenz Arts Festival's production in Bregenz, Austria, and the Virginia Opera's production which toured throughout South America; "Barney Live at Radio City Music Hall"; Women of Color's production of "Panther Women"; PBS production of "Reading Rainbow"; WGBH Boston's production of "Lena", and the sequel "The Descent"; and Cross Grain Pictures production of "Alma's Rainbow". Tina has assisted several choreographers, Carmen deLavallade (Porgy & Bess), Shirley Black-Brown (People Could Fly...And Still Do), Charles Moulton (Joffrey Ballet's Billboards), Milton Myers (Horton Technique), and Judith Jamison (with movement phrases and setting three of her ballets on the Basel Ballet Company in Basel, Switzerland). She has choreographed works for the Thelma Hill production of "Women in Dance", "Tango", for the Virginia Opera's Jr. Company, "La Fete"(a cabaret production in Bregenz, Austris), "Crossing Over", a dance dedicated to the loving memory of her mother, and "3 of 1 in the midst of CHOAS". As a dance educator, she has taught dance internationally and nationally. She has taught at the Bernice Johnson Cultural Art Center, Premiere Dance Theater, Connecticut Ballet Theater, NYU CAP 21, The University of the Arts (Phila.PA) Summer Program, CAS/AileyCamp, Poly Prep Woodward, Studio Seibi in Japan, G.A.P. program at Musical Theater Works in NYC, NJPAC, Marymount/Fordham University, MACH Dance II program, AileyCamp too, and The Ailey School, where she is currently the Rehearsal Director of the Repertory and Performance Workshop/Student Performance Group. Tina is currently the Director of the Bridgeport AileyCamp program sponsored by the Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County (formerly known as The Music and Arts Center for Humanity).
