The Homefront Initiative

The 5 Deadly Venoms was founded on three core principles: community, charity, and love for New York. Always keeping our core principles in mind, we are proud to support University Settlement as our charity partner.

Founded in 1886, University Settlement was the first settlement house in the country. Its revolutionary support model impacts over 40,000 New Yorkers each year including immigrants, those with the lowest income, the young, and the elderly. University Settlement's continued dedication and advocacy for its neighbors makes us proud to support this New York City based charity, which provides a voice for our at-risk neighbors.

University Settlement offers a wide variety of free programs including:

  • Adult Literacy Programs for immigrants
  • Youth Support including after-school programs, early childhood programs, LGBTQ outreach, nutritious meals, and professional development
  • Senior Programs including health and recreation programs, art initiatives, and nutritious meals
  • Mental Health Support Services
  • Art Programs including The Performance Project and the Creative Center, which support local artists, educators, and mentors, and bring therapeutic creative outlets to those with chronic illnesses.

The world needs heroes. Will you answer the call?

Stand for New York. Stand with your neighbors. Stand with us.

University Settlement is a registered 501c3 tax-exempt organization. Gifts made to the organization are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Donors who provide a mailing address will receive a written acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
