University Settlement Appoints Andrew Zhu to its Board of Directors

NEW YORK, NY June 10, 2020 – Andrew Zhu (Investment Associate, BC Partners) has been elected to University Settlement's Board of Directors, the organization announced today.

Born to immigrant parents, Andrew has strong personal ties to the work of settlement houses and especially the ways they support and advocate on behalf of immigrant families.  

"I met Andrew through a work-based mentorship program last year and he spent quality time getting to know us and our mission," said Melissa E. AaseExecutive Director of University Settlement. "He attended our first breakfast series in January and came for a tour shortly after to learn more about the breadth and scope of our services. Andrew's business expertise and life experiences will help make him a terrific addition to our Board of Directors."

I look forward to serving as a thought partner on strategic and operational decisions to help the Settlement continue its effective and innovative programming," Zhu said.

Andrew is an Investment Associate at BC Partners, a leading international private equity firm. Prior, he advised on mergers and acquisitions transactions, most recently at Centerview Partners. Andrew Zhu graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and is bilingual, fluent in both English and Mandarin.
