Plumb Beach Clean Up

Join NYC H2O, the National Park Service, and Coca Cola for a volunteer cleanup at Plumb Beach. Plumb Beach is part of Gateway National Recreation Area, and is located 3 miles east of Coney Island on Jamaica Bay. Its beautiful and diverse scenery contains precious marine habitat as well as salt marsh.

The cleanup will run from 10am to 12pm. Lunch will be served for all volunteers at noon. At 12:30, we have a very special treat for volunteers. A naturalist will lead a hands-on seining net adventure. We'll get to see close-up some of the creatures that live in Jamaica Bay!
