Richard J. Hinds

Richard J. Hinds, a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, is a NYC based Director/Choreographer. He is currently the Associate Director for Disney's Newsies on Broadway. His other Broadway credits include the revival of Jekyll and Hyde (Associate Director/Choreographer) and Il Divo: A Musical Affair (Assistant Director).

Richard's directing and choreography credits include Evita (Flat Rock Playhouse), Fame (Macau International Music Festival), The Fig Leaves are Falling (Connelly Theatre), Cabaret (Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Joseph... (Capital Playhouse), The Sound of Music, All Shook Up, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Hairspray, Joseph… (New Theatre), Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, America's Got Talent, and Good Afternoon America (featuring Liza Minnelli).

Richard has been the Associate/Assistant on Disney's Newsies (Paper Mill Playhouse), 9 to 5 (1st National and UK Tour), Disney's High School Musical (National and International tours), A Christmas Story (Kansas City Repertory Theatre/5th Ave Theatre), The Last Goodbye, The First Wives Club (The Old Globe), Pippin (CTG and Deaf West), A Wonderful Life (Paper Mill Playhouse), The Pirate (Prince Music Theatre), Grease (Lenape Regional PAC), Rockers On Broadway (B.B.
