Ashley Eichbauer Newman

Ashley Eichbauer Newman is a graduate with honors from NYU with a BFA in Theatre and double major in History. She studied musical theatre at CAP21 and film and TV at Stonestreet Studios. Stage credits include dancer and dance captain at Busch Gardens in Virginia, West Side Story and Grease at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre (FL), Maggie Anderson in Brigadoon at St. Bart's Players (NYC), Guys and Dolls at the Paper Mill Playhouse (NJ), and Tommy and Carousel at Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (PA). Ashley has danced in industrials for Wishbone, Cirque Productions, and NYC Theatrical Events and has worked with Ana Gasteyer, Tim Gunn, and Bill Cosby. Ashley made it to the Vegas round for the FOX TV show, So You Think You Can Dance (third season) and danced in a movie choreographed by Hinton Battle, entitled The Great Observer. She was the assistant choreographer for Baltimore's CenterStage production of A Little Night Music and the film Clear Blue Tuesday. Ashley was a founding member of the contemporary dance company, The Chase Brock Experience, where she also served as Assistant Artistic Director and Director of Education. Ashley was the animation reference and assistant choreographer for the video game, Dance on Broadway for the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Move. Currently, Ashley is the resident choreographer for SKIT, a children's theatre in NJ. Recently, she graduated from Bank Street College of Education with her Master's degree in Middle School General and Special Education. Ashley has been on faculty at CAP21 since 2006 and a member of Actors' Equity since 2005. She is passionate about sharing her experiences and knowledge with young professionals in NYC and abroad.
