Doyle Newmyer

Doyle Newmyer, born in Colorado, studied piano as well as music theory at the University of Colorado and the University of Memphis.  He has appeared as featured soloist, composer and arranger with the Memphis Symphony and the Memphis Civic Orchestra.  He worked as studio musician in Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee before re-locating to New York City in 1995. Doyle is currently Musical Director/Arranger and Vocal Coach for numerous performing artists including Alton Fitzgerald White, Jana Robbins, Marieann Meringolo, Karen Kohler and Avery Sommers and Tony winner Chuck Cooper.  He has served as Musical Director/Arranger/Vocal Coach for the several Throroughbred Records' off Broadway productions, including "When The Lights Go On Again" and, most recently, "Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?".  Doyle has also worked as vocal coach and rehearsal pianist for Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus's Ringmaster Tyron McFarlan and songstress Jennifer Fuentes, under the direction of Phillip William McKinley. Doyle has served as bandleader for Unity of New York for the past eleven years and on the faculty of New York City's CAP21 for the past fifteen years.
