CAP21 ALUM MOMS AND DADS:
CAP21 Alum Kim Woycke, formerly Kim Kass, (below with her new baby!) sent us a wonderful update that we wanted to share with you....
Hi CAP21,
This is Kim Woycke (formerly Kim Kass). I am just writing you because I wanted to take a moment and thank you for the wonderful training that I received while at CAP21. Although I am no longer pursuing an acting career (I am working in my husband's family business recycling clothing- and LOVING it)- I continue to find new uses for my acting training every day.
I currently teach voice lessons and direct children's musicals at a local dance studio and love watching my students develop a love for musical theatre.
However, I have never been more thankful for my 4 years at CAP21 then this last week. On Sunday, July 14th I gave birth to my first child, son Carter Jameson Woycke. I have to say the delivery would NOT have been the same without my CAP21 training. Because of the years of learning my body, using my breath and gaining intimate knowledge of myself- I was able to have a completely natural childbirth- and I felt so empowered the entire time. You always spoke of the importance of the breath, and how breath is life- and I really felt that so strongly while laboring. My breath was my lifeline- it eliminated all pain and kept me completely connected to the process. I felt in control and so full of life! I feel so lucky to have spent so many warm-ups relaxing my muscles, focusing on my breath, releasing the pelvic floor, etc. It was like I had 4 years of childbirth classes!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you. Even though I am not a Broadway success story, I am so proud to be a CAP21 alum and feel that my education continues to benefit me daily.
I am so grateful for all of you. Thanks again, and best wishes.
Kim Woycke née Kass, CAP21 Alum, 2009
