On November 12, 2012 CAP21 will be holding a special event to celebrate and thank Michon Peacock for her many years of service to CAP21.
When: November 12th, 7pm - followed by a reception beginning at 8:30pm.
Where:The CAP21 Theatre, 18 West 18th Street, 5th Floor.
Come see Michon and celebrate with her!
How did Michon help you?
We want everyone to be a part of this special evening honoring Michon, so we're offering you all the opportunity to submit a video, photos or a written account of how she has influenced you. Let us know how you met her, a funny meeting or advisement, an interaction, memory, or anything else you can think of.
Most of the video messages will be played throughout the evening and we will give Michon a copy of all the video messages for her to keep, as well as a scrapbook full of the stories and photos that you send in. The videos and scrapbook are a great way to show Michon how important she is to the CAP21 family. Feel free to be as creative as you want - hand write a letter to her, get a bunch of alumni together and film a message, make a photo collage - the sky is the limit!
If you have any questions regarding these memento materials, please reach out to Ashley Foley at afoley@cap21.org or give her a call at 212-807-0202 x20. Ashely also has a video camera to film messages for you if you want to come in to CAP21 to film something.
If you are sending in footage on your own, below is the best way to upload your videos to us. All other materials can be sent to Ashley at afoley@cap21.org
If you'd like to submit a video:
We recommend sending videos through Dropbox. If you do not already have a dropbox account, you can download a free version here: https://www.dropbox.com/
Once you have created an account, please do the following:
Upload the video
Create a folder for the video
Right Click on the folder and select "invite to folder"
enter rdoyle@cap21.org as the recipient
For those sending videos from a mac, QuickTime is an easy alternative to dropbox. If sending from QuickTime, please do the following:
- Open the video in Quicktime (QuickTime is built into Macs, so it should be in your applications)
- Click Share
- Select Mail from the drop down menu
- Select 480p (emailing it as the actual size will take too long and possibly clog up the send/receive on your e-mail server.
- Email to afoley@cap21.org
